Alcohol is the fourth most harmful drug in the world. It is classified as a central nervous system depressant that slows down vital body functions causing loss of control and coordination. Alcohol shuts off the frontal lobe reducing rational thinking and arresting youth brain development. It is toxic to the body causing liver damage, heart problems, and diabetes. Alcohol overdose or poisoning can result in coma or death.
